"One of the most inspiring stories of this year is The Flight of the Human Spirit."  

It has begun as a single dream that is now stirring the hearts and the lives of many.  The ultimate goal is to touch the lives of 20 million men, women, and children.  The goal is further enhanced by encouraging each of those 20 million lives to simply support five others to never, ever give up on their dreams.  The result will be the planting of 100 million seeds of hope.  By the end of this flight, school children, business owners, workers, those who are well, those who are sick, and those who have needed hope, will all know that the true power of the Human Spirit lies within each one of us. 

Specifically, a route beginning at the center of the United States in Salina, Kansas will be followed by a landing in every one of the fifty states.  Upon the landing at each airport a  press conference will be held and the message of the mission of the Flight for the Human Spirit will be delivered. 

The message will be spread to school children in several ways:

• The primary message of never, ever giving up on your dreams.
• Encouraging the same from those around you.
• Satellite interviews with Michael Combs during specific scheduled legs of the flight.
• Sending a mascot of the flight on board the aircraft to a recipient school at the next landing along with the dreams of each participating child that were carried to the sky onboard this historic flight.
• An interactive web site where they can track the progress of the flight and input their own dreams.
• Some particular school districts can have the opportunity of holding an essay contest where the winner will get to fly on one leg of the flight with Michael Combs, (please contact us for more information)  

The message will be further spread to everyone in the following ways: 

• The promotion of the book, “It’s Never, Ever Too Late” that will be released in 2009.
• To offer their own stories of encouragement to others via an interactive web site.
• Media attention from interviews including several promotional days where the aircraft will be displayed for televised broadcasts and photos during the “Flight for the Human Spirit.”
• Promotional materials that can be offered for purchase including:
  • Commemorative coins that will be on-board the aircraft during flight.
  • Apparel that contains the “Flight for the Human Spirit” logo
  • Commemorative merchandise

• Some particular sponsors may have the opportunity of holding an essay or a drawing where the winner will get to fly on one leg of the flight with Michael Combs, (please contact us for more information.

• The promotion of the book “The Flight for the Human Spirit” that chronicles this flight and the events leading up to it.

Obviously, the scope of a project of this size comes with many costs and coordination.

Larger expenses that need to be met initially are:

• Flight School training - done
• The purchase of a suitable Light Sport Aircraft  - done (thanks REMOS!)
• Fuel for Flight and Ground Crew
• Hangar fees - done
• Promotional materials
• Publishing of the Book “It’s Never, Ever Too Late” along with the subsequent “The Flight for the Human Spirit” that will chronicle this mission.
• Audio Video Equipment/crew to cover the beginning of this mission and each flight lesson along with the subsequent learning and test flights - done.
• Building a website large enough to handle the volume of 20 million (+) viewers - current site being overhauled for volume
• Obtain a truck and enclosed trailer to transport the aircraft to specific media and promotional appointments during the scheduled “Promo” days and exhibits that will follow through 2011
• Chase Crew

• Promotional Coordinators
• Transportation to Alaska
• Transportation to Hawaii - we're hoping to FedEx it!

Sponsorships are encouraged at any level from $1.00 to $1 million.
